Le Jury du Certain Regard 2009 sera présidé par le réalisateur et scénariste italien Paolo Sorrentino, récompensé en 2008 par le Prix du Jury pour il Divo.

Il sera entouré de Julie Gayet (comédienne, France), Piers Handling (directeur du Festival de Toronto, Canada), Uma Da Cunha (journaliste et programmatrice de festivals, Inde) et de Marit Kapla (Festival de Göteborg, journaliste, Suède)

Le film d ouverture du Certain Regard, programmé le jeudi 14 mai salle Debussy, sera On ne sait rien des chats persans (Nobody Knows About The Persian Cats) réalisé par le cinéaste iranien Bahman Ghobadi.

Caméra d or 2009

Le Jury de la Caméra d or 2009 sera présidé par le comédien français Roschdy Zem, réalisateur d un premier film Mauvaise foi (2006).

Il sera accompagné de Diane Baratier (directeur de la photo), Olivier Chiavassa (Fédération des industries techniques du cinéma)

Sandrine Ray (réalisatrice), Charles Tesson (Syndicat de la critique), Edouard Waintrop (Festival de Fribourg, Suisse)

La Caméra d or, créée en 1978, désigne le meilleur premier film parmi la Sélection officielle, la Semaine de la Critique ou la Quinzaine des réalisateurs. Cette année, vingt premiers films concourront pour ce prix qui sera remis sur scène, lors de la cérémonie de Clôture, dimanche 24 mai.

Enfin, la comédienne indienne, Sharmilla Tagore, vient compléter le Jury de la compétition présidé par Isabelle Huppert.

Sharmilla Tagore commença de jouer enfant, en 1959 dans Le Monde d Apu, de Satyajit Ray avec lequel elle tournera quatre autres films dont la Déesse, présenté au Festival de Cannes.

Star du cinéma hindi, elle joue pour le cinéma d auteur indien comme dans les films populaires produits à Bombay. Sharmilla Tagore est également l’arrière-petite-fille du grand poète indien Rabîndranâth Tagore.

Un Certain Regard 2009

The Jury Un Certain regard 2009 will be presided by the Italian director and screenwriter Paolo Sorrentino, awarded the Jury Prize in 2008 for il Divo.

He will be surrounded by Julie Gayet (actress, France), Piers Handling (director of the Toronto Festival, Canada), Uma Da Cunha (journalist and festival programmer, India) and Marit Kapla (journalist, Göteborg Festival, Sweden).

The opening film of Un Certain Regard, programmed for Thursday May 14th in the Salle Debussy, will be Nobody Knows About The Persian Cats, directed by the Iranian filmmaker Bahman Ghobadi.

Camera d or 2009

The 2009 Camera d or Jury will be presided by the French actor Roschdy Zem, who directed in 2006 his first film Bad Faith.

He will be accompanied by Diane Baratier (cinematographer), Olivier Chiavassa (Federation of Film Technicians), Sandrine Ray (director), Charles Tesson (Critics Syndicate) Edouard Waintrop (Fribourg Film Festival, Switzerland).

The Camera d or, created in 1978, is attributed to the best first film chosen in the Official Selection, the Critics Week or the Director s Fortnight. This year, twenty first films will compete for this prize which will be presented on stage during the Closing ceremony on May 24th.

Finally, the Indian actress Sharmilla Tagore will complete the Jury of the Competition, presided by Isabelle Huppert.

Sharmilla Tagore started acting as a child in 1959, in the film Apu, directed by Satyajit Ray with whom she would shoot for other films, among which the Goddess, in competition at Cannes. Star of the hindi cinema, she works with both auteur filmmakers and popular films produced in Mumbai. Sharmilla Tagore is also the great-granddaughter of the Indian poet Rabîndranâth Tagore.
